Hello! Do you remember what day it is tomorrow?
Tomorrow, a big Race for Equality will take place at all runday locations, and we will be very happy to see you among the runners, volunteers and spectators. Just don't forget that this Saturday we switch to winter time, and the race will start at 10:00!
In the meantime, our new interview is already here, and one of the fastest runners on Trukhaniv Island, Anna Efimenko, answered our questions.
What are your hobbies? What do you do for a living?
I like to run and my profession is geologist.
What sports do you play? And for how long? What running achievement are you most proud of?
I have been doing orienteering for about 8 years (I have the category of KMS), and for about 5 years I have been doing athletics at the amateur level (I train in the Track & Speed club), I am a 3-time winner of the Kharkiv international Marathon, and I have repeatedly stood on the podiums of various races both in Kyiv and other cities of Ukraine.
How did you find out about Runday?
Through Facebook.
When did you first become a volunteer at Runday?
In May 2018, I volunteered for the first and only time.
How many races have you attended so far? What are your sporting goals?
At the moment, I have attended about 12 races.
I want to run at my personal best every time.
I'm an experienced runner and runday is not the first race where I have covered 5 km.
What do you think about when you run?)
Most often, I think about all the way I've come in sports and these thoughts give me motivation to run even faster.
Who is the person who inspires you to go in for sports? Your running idol (friends, relatives, famous athletes, etc.)?
My favourite Track & Speed club and coaches who invest a lot in us motivate me.
Do you like the chosen location? Are you satisfied with the surface and route? Why do you go there?
I love this location and it's close to home)
What is Runday for you?
It's a place where you can meet running friends and sometimes set your PB.
